This is What we did tonight

I had just finished nursing the little man cub and so we were all hanging out in our bed. Grace found some stickers and she started with daddy and ended up...well you will see. Hee Hee.

Yes I let her put stickers on her innocent little brother. Here she was saying, "This?" Asking him if he wanted a sticker! Ha!

Look at his face!

Such concentration...(this was of course supervised by mommy, even though I was chuckling the whole time)

Ta Da.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His face is like, "What the heck is all over my face, mom??"

(You can see how the onesie is too short in the arms here)

Wha La! The artist finished with herself! What a cutie pie. Oh! Funny story, before this stickering happened she was rough housing with Daddy and he was laying on his back and lifting her up and down with her feet on his chest. At one point she was like kicking/jumping on his chest and I said, to him, "Does that hurt?" Grace cocks her head to the side looks pointedly at me and says, "No." We both cracked up.

She is so much fun. There is a framed bible verse in her by the changing table and we have been reading it lately. I think its Numbers 4: 6 ( I think) anyway it is so cute because now she wants to do everything by herself so she is always "reading" it. She points to the words and says, "Lord....favor" with some other baby babble in between. She also uses the word favor for favorite and her favorite colors are orange and yellow, wait I mean lellow!
Aaron has been just expressing himself so much lately and I he actually is starting to laugh. I think he may be really ticklish. I tickle his ribs and he does this laugh snort coo thing. Its adorable I will try to get it on video. I took some videos the other day and had downloaded them, but they weren't uploading last night and then tonight I went to watch one and Windows Media Player won't play it.
Man that boy is persnickety! He was just screaming like he was mad about something. I could hear him through the monitor as I write this, I go into to check on him thinking I can shush him back to sleep quickly and he is snoring logs like I was imagining the crying!
Whatever as long as he stays asleep right!
So what did you do today?

Bangs and Babies

Technically Grace is no longer a baby but she is one of my babies so thus the title for this post. I grabbed the camera the other day when she was playing with daddy. She was so funny just lying on top of him. Boy does she sure love her daddy! This sleeper is a 3-6 month one and you can see his arms actually fit it!

Ok so I cut my bangs and actually have bangs. Now this was just me playing around with them and the camera trying to see different angles and with my hair down and back in a pony tail. I needed to do something different. I was feeling so frumpy. I hardly ever wear makeup anymore and thought well if I have bangs you won't notice so much when have a bad hair day and my hair is back or I just let it air dry.

You can tell my ends need to be cut because they are so ratty!

So far I like them and can sweep them to the side and they don't hang in my eyes. Plus it seems like my bangs typically grow really fast so I can grow them back out if I get sick of them.

We needed some new sheets for our bed. I washed the sheets the other day and noticed they were threadbare and had tears in them. So we went to Target and found some on sale. Also we got an Oversized King comforter that was on clearance as well. It's white, which is not ideal but it does over hang on both sides of the bed so our bed looks put together now. I love the color of the sheets. I think I am going to try to paint something to go above our bed to go with the color of the sheets.

I took these pictures of Aaron just tonight. The kid kills me. Last night he slept crappy and was not feeling good, maybe another cold? He seemed really sniffly. This afternoon though all three of us got a good nap in. Aaron slept like 3 hours which is the best afternoon nap he has had in awhile. So he woke up and nursed around 4pm for like 2 hot seconds and then passed out. It was like he just needed a lil snack. Then we went to dinner and he was awake for most of that, he slept on the way home, but we were like 5 minutes from the house. I gave him a bath at 740ish and planned to nurse him and put him to bed right after I put Grace to bed. Daddy was keeping Aaron awake because he wanted to sleep. So I finally get him nursing, and he passes out on me! I can't wake him for anything and that is when I took the pictures of him passed out on the bed. I just put him down in the other room and he woke up, but I do believe Daddy shushed him right back into dreamland! So I am hoping he has a better night and is feeling better-less grouchy bear and more sweet bear!

"I shot the Sheriff! But I didn't shoot the Deputy..."

Tomorrow we have church and then I think I will make chili for dinner! This morning I made the PW's Buttermilk Biscuits and we have also made her Spicy Pulled Pork and Pico De Gallo. The pork is officially my new favorite meal!!! I could eat those Pork Tacos till the cows came home! You should try it!

"Air" Bear

I promised a post about Aaron and here you go. My son is getting so big these days. Well long anyway! He is so different from Grace. I think he will be long and skinny. He is already wearing his 3-6 month sleepers because his legs and arms stick out of the 3 month ones. But he doesn't have a lot of chub yet. Last night was the first night he slept in Daddy's office and we had the monitor on. We had been planning on doing it for awhile but whenever I thought about moving the cradle he would be in it asleep for his nap! Last night he also slept in his sleep sack for the 1st time. And the reason for that is lately he has been pitching some mean fits whenever I try to swaddle him. I am not sure what the deal is, but when he gets mad, WHOA watch out! His face turns bright red and he gets this high pitched scream and he kick his arms and legs kinda at the same time while throwing his head. You can tell he is either in a lot of pain or mad. And since I don't think he is any pain, he is mad, really really mad. He likes to be warm though so I had to put socks on his hands to keep is hands warm and to keep his sleeves up. I also was cold last night so I had the heat up. Tonight I have him in a 3-6 month long sleeved onesie underneath his fleece sleeper. He also has socks on his feet and hands. I do worry about the socks on his hands a little bit because he loves putting his hands in his mouth all the time. It really soothes him to be sucking on his hand or thumb. Aaron is going to be such a thinker. Already we were talking about how you can see him thinking. You really can. I will see his eyes look at my eyes and then go to my mouth and then he furrows his brow and quirks his mouth to the side.

I love his smile and he just lights up whenever I talk to him. A couple of days ago I set him on his tummy on our bed and he rolled over! I need to give him more tummy time, I am really bad about that because he likes being held so much. But tonight Daddy pulled the exersaucer (I think that's what you call it) up from storage and we put him in while we ate dinner and cleaned up. He really seemed to like it. And Grace loved it! She obeyed (for the most part) when we told her not to climb on it, but she loved turning the music on for Aaron and she kept smiling at him and saying Hi over and over again. And he would just watch her. Then the music would stop and she would run around to the other side to turn it on again and he would try to follow her. Such good sweet children.

A few weeks ago I posted about Aaron's schedule. However I jumped the gun on that one. Because if we had a schedule its now been thrown out the window! At night the last week I have been putting him to bed after Grace around 830-10 depending on how quickly he gets to sleep after he nurses. But naps? No schedule there. In fact I said today that I think our children might just be bad nappers. I say that because I was reading through my previous posts when Grace was first born and a theme throughout was No Naps. And she still will nap sometimes and then not or just barely. And it seems like Aaron is turning out the same way. Like he has horrible naps in the mornings most days and then I might get 2 hours in the afternoon, with a spattering of 20-30 min naps thrown in throughout the day. And he is a baby! He is supposed to sleep! Here is the kicker though, I know for a fact without a doubt that he does NOT like to be startled or loud noises or kids screaming or people laughing to loud. He will stick out a pouty lip and frown his brow and start to cry. If he is nursing he will yank and yoink and grunt. So it baffles me that he sleeps in the car like the whole time we are running errands or stay asleep if we go to a restaurant. I cover him up in the car seat but by no means is it quiet. Maybe its the car it just lulls him into a deep sleep and then nothing bothers him.

Tonight I was changing him and he was cooing at me while I "tickled" him. Then I started kissing his cheek and neck and it was almost like he was laughing.

Today we had another mom and her six year old daughter come over for a visit. It was great! Grace and her friend played and had lunch while I got to chat with a girlfriend. I did have something else that I was going to write about another new thing Grace is saying but I can't remember. Bummer. I am sure I will remember tomorrow. We are going to soak up Daddy's attention because he will be going out of town next week. TGIF!

He is just so darn cute!

My sweet boy on the changing table, last week I think. The problem with taking pictures lately is our new camera takes pictures best with the flash on, however when your taking pictures of a 2 year old, she blinks and has her eyes shut all the time. She looked so adorable this day in her pig tails and bright yellow and heart tights. My little Punky Brewster with all the same attitude!

So I uploaded all the pics because I didn't want to take the time to sort them all to determine which ones she looked the cutest in. I kept having her run over to the side of the bed so I could get her whole outfit in. And of course she loves saying cheese...only problem is she doesn't really smile when she does!

She also loves to hop/bounce/jump on our bed, all the time.

Another one of her latest sayings is, "I found it!" When you direct her to where something is. This afternoon I was on the couch nursing Aaron and directed her to get my phone off the counter where I could plainly see it but she couldn't. When she finally got her chair and got it for me, it was "I found it!"

Or her other favorite saying is "I did it!" When she has done something she is so proud of. She also puts her babies to Night Night now and will close the door and put her finger to her mouth and say "Ssh" to me. I wonder where she got that from??? Ha! I think she kinda looks like my mom in this picture.

She is SOOOOO independent. She is forever telling me, "No I do it, I do it!" I hear this at least a 100 times a day. Whether its putting her socks on or her mittens or her hat or her scarf or something with her toys. Heaven help me if I try to help her do something. I don't know where she got that one either!

Here is an example of how the camera captures her, she looks like she has tossed a few too many back! LOL! But if I take the flash off then the camera blurs to badly. And poor Aaron he is always like, MOM! I am just a lil boy! I wish you all could see her gorgeous eye lashes they are so long and thick I am jealous! Oh and I taught her how to play nosey nosey and that is just too cute. Oh and she is learning to fold her lil precious baby hands when we say our prayers at night! Gosh I just love her so!

I forgot to post these pictures I took when we went sledding. Daddy really did the sledding and he and Grace went down this huge hill in out sled a bunch of times ( I only went 2x with Grace). Our sled is apparently really fast and I had never ridden it. I about died when I went down the hill the first time with Grace. I think I freaked her out. She was having fun with daddy because he is just the fun dad. But mommy was afraid, I thought we were going to launch off into space we were going so fast! Ha!
Here she is in her lil snow suit from 1st winter! It still fit! Such a cutie!

Afterwards (after mommy and Grace's 2x down the hill we were done!) we walked over and fed the ducks, geese, pigeons and seagulls. There was one brave goose who would take it out of our had. Only ours though we didn't let Grace, apparently daddy says geese can be mean.

Daddy and Aaron.

Aaron is doing well and I think I promised a post about him. But it won't be tonight! It has been a LONNNGGG day and I am just worn out and want to sleep sleep sleep! Night!

Unloading the Truck

I have a ton of pictures I need to post and so here we go. Daddy came back from a road trip last Wednesday and he brought back a truckload firewood. It was a great deal and now I am simply waiting for a cold day to have a fire. Our sweet darling daughter was so happy to be spending time with her Daddy, so we put her coat and mittens and shoes on and off she went to help Daddy and Aunt Crystal unload the truck while I cooked yummy chicken enchiladas!
The following pictures are after she came inside and she had the cutest red lil nose and rosy cheeks. Then she helped me make dinner!

Of course after we had dinner and put the lil girl to bed then my mamma's boy helped me clean up! By help of course I mean crying until I had to Moby him around. It took longer to clean up the kitchen but at least it was quiet! Ha!

Have you all noticed that the pictures with me in them I have no makeup on? Can you tell I am a stay at home mom that doesn't get to sleep through the night yet? At least my skin is clear!

I guess doing the dishes makes for a sleepy boy, especially if his mama is holding him.

This was a picture taking session that Grace started by saying "Pictures?" and nodding a lot. Daddy was trying to figure out how to make taking un blurry pictures easier. I like this picture because it looks like Aaron was smiling.

Well I got to wrap this post up and stuff my diapers (I almost forgot!) Hope every one's week is going well!

Show Stoppin'...Show Show Stoppin!

Grace found her sun hat from last summer and has been parading around in it the last few days. So Wednesday she did some modeling for me. She LOVES the camera and says, Cheese! Then she says, I see it! After every picture! So here is her show....

What a hoot eh? She is SOOO full of attitude these days. The last couple of days I ask her to do something and she replies, "No Way!" and runs off. She is 2 going on 13! The time outs are coming. The other day she was coming down the stairs on her bottom and she was making a show of going bump, bump down the stairs. So I was exclaiming at each step and half way down she said to me, "Scared mommy? Scared?" With this huge grin and raised eyebrows. I just had to chuckle to myself, what a ham.
Gonna Jam now and see if the little man is ready to take another nap...(another post about Aaron and how he is doing to come later!)

Smiling

So I took some pictures of my kiddos.

Finally some smiles!
