What we have been up too

So it's been a few days since I posted anything. K went back east for some training last Tuesday so I am pulling the load by my onesie.  It has actually been a good week, considering.  I think it's because of all the exercise I have been getting.  It is keeping me leveled out.  Took these pics the week before last, don't remember where we were going though.

Love Aaron's smile in this one, he was chees'n it up and Grace wasn't.
So then I got her to give me a big grin.  And Sarah, has her finger in her mouth as usual. I have tried 4 different paci's, so far no go.

So here is the problem with teaching your 3 year old  to write her name.  She thinks it's GREAT (which it is) so she writes it everywhere! I guess siding makes for good lines when your learning to write between the lines instead of diagonal. The only problem is she has been told not to color with chalk on the side of the house, the tree, the fence, etc etc., only on the concrete.  Today it was the air conditioner unit she was coloring on.  Kids!

Yesterday we went out with a girlfriend and her girls to a place called Heritage Park.  It's supposed to be where the early Pioneers settled when they trekked across and discovered Utah, or some such thing.  It was neat, they lots of buildings that look like they did in olden times and the kids can do crafts and pan for 'gold' and pet animals.  There is also pony rides and a train ride and a Native American show.  It was kind of hilly there so we did some walking for sure, good thing I am a Super Mom and fixed my jogging stroller tire after we got that flat on the way to Costco on Tuesday.  K had bought 3 inner tubes on Ebay after the first one popped, so it was easy.  I took this picture after I was done nursing Sarah while we waited for my friend to get there. You can see Aaron climbing like a monkey into Grace's seat.
So I weighed myself this morning (I only weigh myself once a week on Saturdays) and I was down 3 lbs! I was so shocked! Happily shocked, I weighed myself 3x to be sure. It has been 4 weeks since I have been using my FitBit and working out, eating fresh and healthy, counting my calories.  I haven't had any soda (which does sound good still) I drink about 80 ounces of water a day and another surprise for me is I typically don't have my bedtime sweet treat.  I always thought that I would always want something sweet whether it be 2 cookies or a peanut butter cup, or some ice cream.  But most days I don't have anything after I put the kids to bed. Sometimes I grab a handful of blueberries.  Which I have really gotten into, they are sweet and just pop right in.  And a couple of times K has wanted ice cream and so we went to get some after dinner, but I keep the portion small.
I need to start incorporating some strength training into my routine.  I haven't done that yet because I wasn't sure what exercises and it seemed too much to take on. But I am going to just use my own body weight as resistance and try to build some muscles and tighten things up.  I think that hopefully by the fall/winter I will be down enough to buy some new clothes.  I have lost a total of 8 pounds in 4 weeks so I am pretty happy with that and am looking forward to seeing my old jeans again.

On another note, I am going to try to finish up the girls room this week.  I have finished their names and going to try to put the letters up this afternoon after naps and then I have an easy decor project that I want to add.  Then I will take some pictures! I am excited to show it off, so is Sarah, she is sitting next to me just a squealing away!

Ah Hotel Life... The folks in 311 were up at 0630 today. Doing aerobics. To Throbbing techno. It must have been very hard because they were yelling to motivate each other. I pounded on the wall till I felt the sheet rock give a bit then stopped. Then I pounded again with an open hand... finally broke through the techno and they shut it down thank the light.... But to no avail. "The Whistler" started up in 307 at 720. Time for me to go for a long walk. I miss you all very much. 307 has 2 kids that sound really cute when they are not WWF'ing each other.
