Sunday at the dog park

Sunday after church we picked up Kayla and headed up to Tanner Park for some lunch and play time. We hadn't been in awhile and it was fun to get out and enjoy Kayla's company and watch her run around as well.
 Say What??

Our independent youngest, yes she wanted to walk and Grace wanted to ride...so they did.

But we were moving a bit slow, as one would expect so we plopped her down on the front...she did really well surprisingly. I was watching like a hawk to make sure her dress didn't get caught or some other catastrophe.

Right after he through his hat in the creek...we made him put it back on.

Whats a little wading with your church dress? Or sitting? Luckily I had a swim diaper in my bag.

Kayla having a leisurely swim.

Eating apples with the skin and all is only OK if you starving while hiking at the dog park.

Friday Fun Day

Grabbed the camera after lunch today and tried to get some shots of the kids just playing together nicely. Of course Sarah spotted the camera and immediately started the cheesin. I love this first picture because I caught a genuine smile, and she looks so blond here! I love when they include Sarah in their games and they all go running down the hall (Sarah screaming naturally) and having a ball.

This sweet big sister was working on her penmanship this afternoon at quiet time, practising her J's and 8's, among others.

The little/big brother, has his sword, although not sure why he needed it for their picnic.

I went out to get the mail and take our flag down because the wind was whipping it and twisting up. Of course I had some followers.

She was super concerned with why I was taking our flag in.

And I have no idea what he was doing.

I think Sarah was sick last night. She didn't eat anything for dinner but that wasn't new. She woke up at 2:00am and I tried to lay her back down like usual when she wakes with a bad dream. However she woke shortly after that again. So at 2:30 she came back in bed with me until she couldn't settle down, of course I ended up falling asleep after like 30 minutes. I woke at 6am with her passed out hogging all of myself of the bed. I picked her up and went to take her back to bed and she fell back asleep for 30 minutes but then woke again. So we got up and got some bananas of course. She had 2 which is really normal for her, she'd probably eat more if I'd let her. But then she threw up bananas like 10 or 15 minutes later. She was so non plussed about it too, she didn't even cry. I only let her have saltines and some juice for a little while and she kept that down so I made her lunch like normal. And as you can see from the pictures she seemed to have fun, oh and she worked out with me. In fact she kept climbing on me while I was trying to do plank and some V-situps.
Daddy is home now and we are looking forward to a nice weekend!

Hanging Out

It's been a busy week here. Monday we had a grocery store run, Tuesday we had playgroup and then we skipped naps and went directly to another friends house to celebrate her son's 5th birthday before they start school next week. Then Wednesday we had some more friends over and hung out and today we went to Costco. They have a really good deal on goat cheese, you can get 2 10 ounce packages for 6.39. I like goat cheese and had bought it a month or so ago and apparently my kids all love it. So for lunch they had salami, goat cheese and crackers (Oh my GOSH a huge thunderstorm is happening right now and it sounded like thunder just crashed over my house! Scared me to death!). Anyway they devoured the goat cheese and Aaron and Sarah did not want their turkey sandwiches I made them. (I wasn't so sure if they would eat the salami. Then we cleaned house a bit and played. At nap time I worked out, and sweated bullets! For dinner I pulled out some ground elk meat someone had given us and made tacos! I was a little nervous as I hadn't done that before but the kids ate it up. Well Sarah didn't but she doesn't like anything so boo on her. Here is my sour creamed face kid, he had to go potty in the middle of dinner.

Such a cutie pie.

Of course after he finished up, then Sarah saw the camer and started cheesin immediatley.

Can you tell she is saying cheese in everyone!

I LOVE this picture of the girls. Sarah looks so big and it just makes me think of them as big girls hanging out together. Sarah sure looks tan next to Grace!

Can't forget bubs!

And my sweet girl. Such a good helper she is. Today I gave them each half of a magic eraser and had them clean my doors and door frames and some walls! Oh my they look so much better.

My toe is feeling lots better and I am beginning to be able to do my workouts better, it's still not 100% unfortunately, but some more time. Ideally I wanted to wear these new high heels I had gotten at Savers for my birthday that is coming up next week. But I don't think that will happen. K is still in AZ he was supposed to be back tonight however, things didn't go well yesterday so he had to stay another day. I am excited for my birthday to come but always sad to see the end of August and September come. Even though it's not cool fall temps yet, it just seems kind of like it. Trying to enjoy my fleeting summer while it lasts.

Hanging outside

Yesterday was a busy day, we hit Costco, the supplement natural store, lunch and the grocery store. We did all of that and Aaron didn't have ANY accidents. I was super paranoid about it too because I realized halfway through I totally forgot extra underwear or shorts. Then after dinner we came outside to play. Grace was showing me all of her balancing tricks.

My little dare devil rides again.

I took a bunch of pictures, playing around with the new camera.

More balancing and tricks from my little gang.

Afterwards we came inside and made cookies. Aaron loved his new apron from the dollar store. "Grace, look it has a froggy on it!"

And of course Peanut is cheesing for the camera too!

Our shortbread cookies we took to playgroup today.

So a few quick stories I don't want to forget. We have had the movie Sleeping Beauty from Netflix for a little while now and the kids love watching it. Yesterday Aaron told me, "I da man, Prince Phillip!" Then he kissed me and I woke up. Then he said, "The mean old witch didn't die ya!"
I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but Sarah has been stubborn with her words... (she is stubborn with everything else so this really shouldn't be a surprise to me) and hasn't been saying please. I figured she could say it because she could say Cheese for the camera. Well yesterday she finally said please for some frozen grapes. (By the way, if you haven't heard of freezing your grapes, you totally should! I love grapes but hate buying them because they end up getting wasted before you finish them all. Freezing them doesn't waste them and they taste like a yummy Popsicle. They are more addicting! And the kids think they are getting a treat! Me too! )
Tonight also she was throwing out some pleases, now if only we can get the Thank You's a little more forthcoming.
K is in OR right now but thankfully he will be coming home tomorrow and know he will be glad to be home for a bit.

Our weekend

This weekend was really short. K had to go to AZ like I said and didn't get home until about 4:00pm on Saturday. Then we headed over to his sisters house to visit and celebrate birthday's and a anniversary with some pizza and fun. One of my new nieces, Little Miss Abby. She is such a sweetie. She is so tiny because she lost some of her birth weight, but she is doing fine and gaining it back now.

One of Sarah's new words is 'Cheese' and she loves saying it! This expression is so cute because she scrunches her face up. She still has that scab on her nose, but that is pizza sauce on her chin, which is surprising because I didn't think she really ate any pizza.

Abby's big brother Cade, we think Cade and Sarah look a lot alike. They are 6 months apart. He turns 2 in October and they get along so good and love playing together.

The kids found this costume Uncle Devin had and were playing with it, then K put it on and it was freakin hilarious.

The little kids were all mesmerized....at first.

Then Sarah thought it was too scary for her, but as you can see Cade LOVED it!

This morning we went to church and then some lunch at Firehouse subs. It's kind of our after church lunch place because kids eat free on Sundays so we can get our lunch really cheap. It's expensive eating out with kids! Especially hungry ones, although Sarah always refuses to eat her turkey meat. So we are really glad it's free.  This was tonight right before we had the kids come inside and take baths.  The sunset was so pretty behind the clouds, although I think there may have been a fire too. It just looked really neat.

Tomorrow K heads to Bend, OR for work. I'm a little jealous because that is were we tried to move to and I love that little town. And this time of year would be so nice to visit. But hopefully he will get all the accounts finished smoothly and then be home by Wednesday. I told him he absolutely has to be home by Friday as I have a double baby shower at our house I am hosting on Saturday and he is in charge of the kids. Grace is super excited about hanging with him and not going to the baby shower. It's kind of funny.
Looking forward to a busy but productive week!
