New Years Eve and Such

I know I haven't been blogging much lately. We got a new camera for Christmas and I need to get practised at uploading my pictures and taking them.
I tried a few times this morning to get a picture of Aaron smiling with my phone. The problem was that my phone camera was to slow!
This one is my favorite.

Last night I washed the FuzziBunz diapers and we adjusted all of them as well. Today was our first go around with trying them out and so far I have changed one wet diaper! Why that is exciting to me I don't know. But I think he looks so darn cute in them! He also appears to be like lil bunny foo foo in this pic as well!

Today we went to Wal-Mart (thank you Daddy for braving that with me!) to exchange a gift. We got the things we needed and then grabbed lunch. It was snowing again when we left. We got a huge storm here on Wednesday and it snowed about a good foot of snow! We had an adventure trying to get to a birthday party that night and mommy got lost because she took the wrong freeway. (Don't ask me why I was thinking the 215 instead of the 80 and so I never found the 2300 exit on the 215 because it doesn't exist!) But daddy came and saved us and we wound up at the party anyway!
Tonight for New Years Eve we are just having a low key night. In fact I doubt I will be staying up till midnight if I can help it anyway. The last few nights I have been up late after Aaron was asleep just taking some time for myself. But I think an early bed time is in order. We are going to try to get a movie tonight.
Last night I made PW's Rosemary Cheese potatoes to go with the Ham and Bean soup I made from our leftover ham hock we had. It was supposed to have thyme and we didn't have that so I made it with Basil instead and had some smoked sausage as well. Pretty good for a whim (although I had to cook the beans for an hour and the soup for another hour and half so it took awhile.)
Looking into the New Year I don't really have any goals or resolutions. I just have to eventually jump back on the treadmill and I have been getting closer to that lately. Its like I can feel my body ready to stretch and run and be active again. I do have some organizational goals that I want to do with the house but I have decided to take those one at a time. My goal will be to remember to take one project at a time! I tend to get ahead of myself with all of these ideas and then get a lil wound up when my house is chaotic and I can't get it cleaned how I picture it.
One thing I did to that end was to pull out a tiered shelf with wire baskets and put it into our coat closet to stick all of our hats and gloves in it. I was telling my hubby that I hate having no place to store the gloves/hates and scarves for 3 1/2 people. It seems like winter wear is everywhere! So he suggested a tub with drawers! Well we already had one in our garage that used to be in our old bathroom. I re purposed it and now have the spot for all that stuff.

Grace has been LOVING her new toys. Every morning she wakes up and says, Toys? All day long its toys toys toys and some more toys. Naps are so sad because she can't play with her toys anymore. Oh and another new favorite word of hers is guacamole. Except she says it Ma Molie! I love it! She loves her tricycle and says Papou every time she sees it. And she loves her lil kitchen and picks up the phone and says, Pepaw or Memaw or Nana. And she loves her lil picnic table and has all of her play food scattered all over it. Eventually these toys will have a place to be other than in our living room. But that is a project for after the holidays!
Our lil Air Bear (my new nickname for him) is smiling more and more, although daddy is skeptical of that because he always misses it when I say quick he is smiling! He still loves being held and he loves sleeping, when its time. For instance today he was starting to pass out on my pillow and we were getting ready to go, so I asked Daddy to put him in the car seat. Daddy picked him up and he started frowning and grimacing in his sleep. Like he was so mad and put out that we were moving him from his cozy spot. He is also having more alert times and holding his head up really well.
Well this post is getting to be really long and I need to get a shower before my free time is up!

2 month

I love how my Lil man is all passed out and cozy with his daddy. That was taken on 12-11-10 You can see how much bigger and fuller his face is getting. This was just taken Friday.
I love this pic of Grace, we were getting ready to go see the lights. Look at her eyes just a twinkling!

Ok so I know I haven't posted in AGES! We got back from San Diego, rested a bit and then had my brother and sister in law visit last week from Washington. We had a ton of fun visiting and seeing how much my nephews have grown. Monday we had Aaron's 2 month check-up (more about that later) and then Tuesday we all got together for a family picture. We then went out to lunch and visited for the day. The darling husband had to go out of town to Denver on Wednesday thru Friday and the kiddos and I went to his family's Christmas party. Grace befriended her...(2nd cousin I think) and had a blast playing with her cousins again before they headed back to Washington. Hubby drove back (safely) through the snow storm on Friday night.

Saturday morning we got up and went to breakfast and then came back to the house for the afternoon before heading out to take the Lil Miss to see Christmas lights. For some reason I had it in my head that Utah didn't have any big displays or neighborhoods that did that, but Daddy managed to find some good ones. We went to one street first that was great and did the Night Before Christmas theme. Then lastly we went to this one house that was AMAZING! The owner had huge faces in 3 of his trees and he coordinated them talking to each other. You tuned your radio in and listened to it go with the music. We had to wait in line for a while because the show lasted so long but it was way cool, and luckily we got a "spot" to park and watch it.

Sunday we just at home and relaxed. Unfortunately last night Aaron did not want to go to sleep after his 10pm feeding like normal. I think his tummy hurt and he fussed and cried until 12:30. But on the flip side of that was that he went almost 7 hours without waking to eat. I thought for sure when I was going to sleep at midnight that I would be waking in 2 hours at 2:30 to feed him again, however he didn't wake till 4:40 and I felt somewhat refreshed. Odd to feel refreshed after 4 hours of sleep, but I suppose when your waking again after just 2 or almost 3 then your doing good! HA!

So Aaron's appointment went good. He weighed 10 pounds 15 ounces and was 22 inches long (I think if I call recall correctly on the height). The pediatrician did think he was jaundice and was going to have his blood tested again but decided after seeing him for the whole appointment that it was just in his face and not to. He called it breastfeeding jaundice and apparently its something that happens and they don't know why. (As long as the picture place can photo shop his picture). The Dr said he wasn't worried as long as he is eating real good and giving me lots of went and poopy diapers. Which he is, and so he will grow out of it.

He has still been on the meds for his reflux and that has been helping. I think I will see how far this new bottle gets us and see if he has grown out of it by then. (Unfortunately I spilled the bottle while in San Diego and had to pay for another prescription).

He is getting to be such a big boy and holding his head up real good for long periods and looking around a lot too. And the topper was he smiled last night for me! I kept trying to get him to smile again for Daddy but he wouldn't have it. Right now he is snoozing away in his swing while I update my blog and had some lunch.

As far as Christmas goes we are trucking right along towards it aren't we? I still have to do the kids shopping and was waiting for daddy to help with it when Grace can be at daycare. I also still would like to take Grace to see Santa, even though I know she will probably spaz out.

We are also hosting Christmas Eve dinner so that should be fun. In fact this morning I got up early and took the kids to the grocery to get that shopping out of the way. I got mostly everything I need and we needed some things to eat before Christmas too! We have been on "vacation" for way to long and not eating at home.

Right now I am sitting here finishing this blog and probably going to have get up and get Grace from her nap and see how much time I get before Aaron wakes from his. It fact I should run and jump in the shower real quick! Its been nice today to get back into the routine of our new normal here at home. Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving Trip 2010

I am still in San Diego but wanted to post some pictures. These pictures are from my mom's camera. I hadn't gotten my pictures downloaded yet. So the whole time I was planning this trip out here I kept emailing with my baby brother who is stationed with the Navy out in Virgina, to try to get some leave to come out an visit at the same time. Well it turns out that my parents flew him out as a surprise to everyone! They surprised me on Thanksgiving night! Here is my brother coming in!
I even started crying...

My baby brother T playing ball with his niece Grace.

Grace's cute Thanksgiving outfit, she woke up from her nap and everyone was here...so she was a lil shy.

Cookie Making

I know I haven't posted in a little while so I wanted to get a post up before we left tomorrow for our vacation. A few days ago we made sugar cookies. Grace had a blast icing the cookies and punching out the shapes and eating the cookie dough of course!
We went to the dog park last week??? I think anyway. Grace loved throwing the ball for the dogs and I have a few cute videos that I need to post of her as well. I will try to get those once we are in San Diego.

Mommy and Grace

These are some cute guys in my life, love them and love their brown stripes!

So here is a video of Grace frosting her cookies, and for the record Daddy was right when he said Grace was saying Thank You. Apparently her Thank You has evolved from Shzee Zoo, to what you here in the video. We leave tomorrow morning for our vacation. I took Aaron into the dr today because I was thinking he might have reflux or GERD. He is gaining weight (he is 9 pounds and 7 ounces now) but I was hoping to get something to help him with the pain before our trip. So that being said I have to get off the computer and get to the pharmacy to pick up his prescriptions. Hopefully they help him a bit and make him more comfortable until he grows out of it. I also a have to finish laundry and pack and do a million other things before we go! Ta Ta For Now!

One Month Old

Aaron is now 1 month old as of yesterday! I took these first 2 pictures of him tonight.
I took these pics this morning, poor Aaron was fussing but Grace wanted to hold him so bad! She is such a good big sister, she kissed him and then she also was patting him, saying night night.

Look at her lil arm go!

We got lunch after we picked up Aaron's birth certificates last week (we need them to fly) and Daddy and Grace shared an ice cream cone!

This was taken on the 7th, in his lil pumpkin outfit. Its still Fall so he can be a pumpkin, besides it zips instead of snaps so sometimes that's faster!

Aaron you are 1 month old and just these last several days you seem to be more alert and awake gazing at your world. You've also been holding your head up more. Your still my cuddle boy and enjoy being held. Last night you slept really good too, starting with an almost 3 hour stretch, you went 11:40, 3:15, 6ish to 9am. Then you were up till about Noon, when we took you out in the car. Of course you were a goner then and passed out till 3 and again till six. Mommy is hoping for a good long stretch tonight! Your such a sweet boy!

Friday at the Park

On Friday morning we decided to go to the park to ..."shide". So once we got there and mommy got the baby all wrapped up in the Moby Wrap and we walked over to the slides. Grace decided to freak out because they are doing road construction and widening the road by the park. There was big CAT's and Digger trucks moving dirt and what not. She had a melt down and did not want to slide for once in her baby life. However after walking back to the car and having a snack of trail mix (and eating mostly M&M's) she saw some other bigger kids over there and decided she needed to slide some more. So we walked over and played, but here she is peering at the big trucks which are very scary. So cute! I had daddy take these for me with his phone of mommy and her kiddos!

We went to the dog park today and got everyone out and about and exercised! Now we are at home resting and blogging before naps are over! Hope your Sunday afternoon is great!

Cornbellys

I wanted to take Grace to a pumpkin patch/ corn maze. So we went to this place called CornBelly's. It was so much fun and I only wish we had been able to spend more time there before Grace's nap time. We went on a wagon ride and Grace just sat there taking it all in until the end when it started jiggling her then she thought it was hilarious. Right after we got there and she loves walking around with her jaunty lil self.
Going up the stairs for the slide. It was a bit steep I thought but not for Grace our wild girl.

Here she is coming down one of the slides. Her face at first was Uh-Oh and then laughter!

Here is one of the pics I took at Grandma Janeen's house on Halloween. Her lil hood wasn't up but Memaw has some more pics she is going to email me of her when we took her trick or treating.

"No one better lay a finger on my Butterfinger!"

My lil Man where his Nana's onesie like his sister!

Daddy's back home and I made a beef stew with butternut squash for dinner tonight. It was pretty good considering I am not much of a stew person. I took the kids out to Wal Mart and the grocery today and made it home with only a minor meltdown in Wal Mart. My MRSA infection seems to be healing good and I have been remembering to take my meds. Today Aaron is 3 weeks old, one more week and he is a month old! He is still a good eater and sleeper during the day. In fact he was the easy one to take out shopping today. Signing off for the night!

The 411

So as you can guess I have been pretty busy lately, what with a newborn and toddler and trying to figure out our new routine for life! On top of all that Thursday I discovered that I have a MRSA infection! Can you believe that??? Seriously! I discovered the boil (isn't boil an awful word?) on Wednesday night and thought it was a pimple on my side by my bra strap because the MRSA was like 6-8 weeks ago. Then Thursday morning it was very inflamed and hard, so my SIL got me in at her clinic and they drained it and I am on antibiotics three times a day for 14 days. We are back to bleaching everything and washing everything a bunch of times. I am just praying that Aaron doesn't get it. I am also waiting for his circumcision ring to fall of any day now. I am a lil worried about that too because the dr said about 5-7 days and tomorrow is day 8. I spoke with the nurse about it and she said to give it a couple of more days.

Otherwise he is a healthy and most darling lil boy ever. He is so cuddly and asleep in my lap now. He is so good he just eats and sleeps and eats and sleeps. He still has his days and night mixed up and occasionally a fussy period but generally he is a easy babe.

Sorry no new pictures of Aaron, I will try to get my camera and download the pics I have. But I thought this pic was hilarious of Grace a couple weeks ago of her putting her hat on Briggs! Look at her lil tummy! Poor Briggs he is so tolerant of her!
Also here is a video I took of Grace at the park a week or so ago. The lil ducky was so stiff it didn't move anymore.

These are my Children....

....aren't they incredibly precious? I know its been awhile sense I updated my blog with some pictures and what we have been up too. Well Friday we went back to the dr and he cleared our sweet boy from the jaundice and we didn't even have to have another blood test. Pepaw sent this blankie to Aaron so he could have one just like Grace! Its so cute and I had to take a pic of him in the bouncer chair with it over him just like Grace as well.

Today we received a sweet gift for Aaron and Grace (can't leave big sister out) from their Great Auntie and Uncle. So I had Grace say Thank You and hug and kiss her lil lamb she got. So in the first pic she is saying Thank You (she actually was).

And here she is giving it a big hug and if you look close you can see her pig tails!

Grace loves her new brother and loves to kiss him good night or good morning and then rub his head. Sometimes we have to be a lil careful about pulling on his tiny hands and arms but she wanted to hold him yesterday morning so we took some pictures.

Aren't they adorable? Well I adore them anyway!

Tomorrow we have Aaron's official 2 week check up at noon, although he will be 2 weeks old on Wednesday. On Friday his weight was 6 pounds 12 ounces so hopefully he will be back up to his birth weight. He has been bursing for longer periods of time.
Last night it snowed! We had driven down to Kents mom house to celebrate his cousins birthday. And it was cold all day and rainy too, on Saturday and Sunday. Around 3 am I was up with Aaron and the storm was raging! It sounded like it was hailing and the wind was just going. Sure enough the grass was covered with snow this morning.
Supposedly it is supposed to get nicer by the middle of the week, so I am hoping to go to a pumpkin patch or corn maze on Wednesday.
As for me I got to get to bed kinda early because I felt wiped out this morning. And had a small sinus headache most of the day. I did have plans to take a hot bath and a nap while Grace and Aaron were napping today. However that didn't happen, well the nap anyways. I ate lunch, had a nice hot bath on a cold fall blustery day. Then went to crawl into bed when my lil man started to fuss. I think he may have wanted to snuggle because I picked him and soothed him and then he was fine. Of course that meant Grace had to wake up early from her nap!
Aside from being tired I am feeling good and practically back into my skinny jeans! Yay! The scales says I am at my prepregnancy weight but I think the uterus still has some shrinking to do before I get back into those jeans. Maybe another week? It will be nice to be able to wear normal clothes again!
Well my early bed time is slipping away...gotta jam!

Bilibeds and the Park

So we went to the dr on Tuesday and they took Aaron's blood and his bilirubin levels were 18.6 so they had HomeCare deliver the Bilibed. He has had to be in it all the time unless he is getting changed or nursing. Boo it sucks. But since its Thursday today he does look better and less jaundice. Our appointment is tomorrow morning at 9:40 so I am hoping that after they test his blood tomorrow that we are done with the bed. It is just a major pain.
I think it was Monday we went to the park and Grace LOVES the park and she is always saying, "Slide?". She can climb the stairs and do almost everything at the park by herself. She loves it. Here she is climbing up the twisty slide, this one she can't climb up as well but she loves trying!

I love how the static made her hair stick straight out like a mad scientist!

She was so tickled!

Daddy was testing out my Moby Wrap and had our lil boy in it. I wish I had gotten a closer pic of Grace and Aaron because they had on the same green!

He was just as content as could be. He pretty much just eats and sleeps right now. Occasionally he has some awake time, but not like Grace did, she tended to look around a lot when she was a newborn.

Here she is climbing the stairs to one particular metal slide she loves. She just goes up and down and around and around with this slide!

These things don't actually ride back and forth they are too stiff but she can get up there all by herself and she likes them. Of course she kept staring at all the kids playing.

Well that is the update for now. Grace of course is up early from her nap so that puts a wrench in my quick nap I was going to take! Oh well I actually went to bed semi early last night and will try to go to bed even earlier tonight.
